Aligning your organisational strategy with your Target Operating Model (TOM) is essential, but it’s not without challenges.

Many organisations face resistance to change, misalignment between departments, and the complexity of redesigning existing processes.

To successfully navigate these hurdles, effective change leadership is crucial.

Start by engaging all stakeholders early in the process.

Clearly communicate the benefits of alignment and ensure that everyone understands how the changes will impact their role.

Another common challenge is departmental silos, which can prevent effective collaboration and lead to conflicting priorities.

Breaking down these silos and fostering a culture of open communication is key to ensuring that all parts of the organisation are aligned with the strategic goals.

Additionally, providing adequate training and resources is vital to help employees adapt to new processes and technologies that may be introduced as part of the TOM redesign.
